Hey Quilty Fam! I’m so excited to be hosting my first sew along for my first pattern, Lava Blooms! Both Lava Blooms and my quilty biz turn one next month and what perfect way to celebrate than to sew along with friends!
The sew along will run for 8 weeks starting on January 17th. This pattern is labeled as Intermediate, but it’s a fantastic skill builder and I’ll have some tips to help you along the way!

The Details
When: January 17th – March 13th (8 weeks)
Where: Your inbox! Start by signing up to receive the weekly emails. Emails will go out every Monday during the sew along with all the info for that week. There will also be a weekly blog post.
How: Complete the weekly prompts and share your progress on Instagram using the hashtag #LavaBloomsQuiltSA to be entered to win prizes each week! (Note: Instagram accounts need to be public to see what you share!)
Supplies Needed:
- The Lava Blooms quilt pattern, both a PDF and Paper copy are available in my shop! If you haven’t already purchased the pattern, it’s 15% OFF now through January 17th (no code needed).
- Fabric as required by the pattern and size you choose to make. (See the fabric requirements below.)
- Basic quilting supplies (sewing machine, thread, cutting mat and rotary cutter, iron, and acrylic rulers.
- Creative Grids Stripology XL Ruler (Optional)
- Diagonal Seam Tape (Optional)
- Tailor’s Clapper (Optional)
- Wool Pressing Mat (Optional)
