Nice to Meet You, I'm Sylvia!
quilter
designer
creative
fabric lover
I first learned to quilt while pregnant with my son in 2013. My Grandma Jean helped me make my first quilt – his baby quilt. Needless to say, I quickly fell in love with the craft and, to this day, can’t sew fast enough to keep up with all the projects I want to make. Although I’ve been surrounded by creativity and design all my life, even graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, it wasn’t until I found quilting, that I truly felt like I found my calling. I continued to hone my skills over the years and found my way back to design.
I loved the idea of combining my love of design with my passion for quilting, and in 2021, I released my first quilt pattern, Lava Blooms. Since then, I’ve released several more patterns, my work has been featured in Love Patchwork and Quilting Magazine, Art Gallery Fabrics Lookbooks, and I designed and released my own planner for quilters, The Quiltessential Planner.
When I’m not quilting or designing, you can usually find me at Disneyland with my hubby and two kiddos.
